Full-Service Gala Support for Peak to Peak Charter School's Annual Fundraiser

When one event needs three sound systems, a 360° photo booth, custom lighting, video editing, and a DJ — Tier Two Live delivers it all under one roof.

We've had the privilege of supporting Peak to Peak Charter School's annual gala fundraiser for several years running, and each year the event grows in scope and ambition. This year's celebration was no exception — and it gave us the opportunity to flex every part of what Tier Two Live does best.

Peak to Peak's gala is a full evening production: cocktail hour with activities, silent auction, seated dinner, live auction, speeches from school leadership, and an open dance floor to close out the night. To pull that off seamlessly, you need more than a DJ and a couple of speakers. Here's what we brought to the table.

The theme of this year’s event was The Pumas (instead of The Oscars), so DJ Dave dressed up as Willy Wonka.

  • Separate audio coverage for each distinct area of the venue:

Cocktail hour music in the primary entry hall, which was tied to the silent auction room with its own sound system.

Ballroom sound system for post program dancing.

  • A crowd favorite that kept guests engaged and gave them something memorable to take home.

This photo booth can hold 4-5 people at a time while an arm swings the camera around you as you dance and pose!

  • We brought literally ALL of our lights to add accents to the entry way, the 360° photo booth, and the dance floor.

  • All of the program speaker introductions were custom made and pre-recorded with corresponding walk-up music to keep the flow of the event smooth. These voice-overs were then placed in the master slide deck.

  • This year’s program featured two videos.

The theme of this year’s event was The Pumas (instead of The Oscars) so the first video was a parody of the Nicole Kidman AMC Theaters intro. It was shot, directed, and edited by DJ Dave.

The second video was used as a transition between the live auction and the paddle raise parts of the program to refocus everybody on the “why” of the paddle raise.

  • Coordinated directly with the hotel's in-house A/V team to ensure everything worked together.

The production side of an event like this requires weeks of pre-event collaboration — not just showing up with gear. Our team worked extensively with Peak to Peak's planning committee, the live auctioneer, and the hotel's A/V provider ahead of the event to map out overall A/V needs, speaker placement, and program timing. That kind of coordination is what prevents surprises on the night of.

When it came time to celebrate, DJ Dave took over the dance floor with a movie-themed set before transitioning into top-40 hits that brought the whole room together. It was the kind of finale that sends guests home happy — and has them talking about the event long after.

Tier Two Live is the go to team when it comes to AV! Not only do they run a tight ship and totally deliver on all your audio & visual needs, but Dave is a wonderful person to work alongside. He is kind, charismatic, and intentional with making any event a complete success. If you’re looking for top tier AV, look no further!
