ABOUT TIER TWO LIVE
Tier Two Live is the premier choice for exceptional DJ/MC services, live music production, and creative event planning in East Boulder County and beyond. Whether it's a dance floor extravaganza or a captivating live performance, Tier Two Live brings a unique and unforgettable experience to every occasion. We love a great party! Let us help you make some core memories.
Tier Two Live started as an independent, all-ages music promotion group in 2019 by Dave Heinrich as a bit of an experiment to see if a viable independent youth-focused music scene could be created in suburb of Boulder and Denver.
Since then we’ve expanded our event services to include DJ/MCing, full event planning, and equipment rental to help bring your dreams to reality.
The name Tier Two is about being located in a area that isn’t necessarily on the map for the majority of musical acts. It’s about being proud of where you are and what you can bring to the table. It’s about discovering what hidden talent lies beneath the surface of the typical music we are exposed to. We are also headquartered in Lafayette, Colorado, which is considered a Tier Two suburb.
ABOUT DJ DAVE
Dave grew up in Reno, NV and started going to DIY punk and hardcore shows in the 90’s when he was 14. He moved to Colorado in the late 90’s to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he majored in civil engineering. It was there that he was a founding member of the hardcore bands Shogun and Omega Point.
He and some friends got interested in DJing and split the cost of turntables and a mixer. They started playing college parties and had a residency at The Barrel House (RIP). Dave still uses the same turntables today (after quite a bit of refurbishment).
He’s one of the co-founders of the Lafayette Music Fest (started in 2022).
Prior to launching Tier Two Live he was a registered civil engineer and owned his own consulting firm.
An avid backpacker, he and his wife completed the 2,650 mile long Pacific Crest Trail in 2006, only 5 months after getting married.
