About Dave Heinrich

Dave grew up in Reno, Nevada, and fell in love with DIY punk and hardcore shows in the 1990s. He moved to Colorado in the late 1990s to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder (civil engineering), and was a founding member of the hardcore bands Shogun and Omega Point. Dave began DJing on turntables in the late 1990s, maintained a long-running residency at The Barrel House, and still uses those original turntables after refurbishment. Prior to focusing on Tier Two Live, he worked as a professionally registered civil engineer and owned a consulting firm, Akamai Design. Dave and his wife completed the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail in 2006. He is a co-founder of the Lafayette Music Fest (est. 2022).
